Another Chatelaine!!

Yay!!  Okay, so I know I said that no more buying, but I couldn't resist!! I was so excited when I saw ECC releasing some older designs from Martina.  LOOK!!!

This is Provence and I am sooooo excited about this one.  Remember I only started stitching again this year, March I think, so I have not seen these older Chatelaines from Martina.  I showed this to my ma, and even she said I should buy it.  I fainted at the money for the silks, but oh well, I bet it will take three months to assemble the kit (Hawaiian took around that), so I can save up.  This is such a kitchenney (new word, just accept it, lol) feel to it.  This is moving to the front of the line when I receive it.  Jumping around  I can't wait to start this one.

I am still working on Herbularius but I may just have to be one month behind.  I am thinking that some Chats may just have to be done like this since it takes so long for ECC to receive all the different threads and get it shipped out to us.  I really need to stitch some on my Hummingbird also.  I have to stitch the flowers on the outside border.  For some reason I am not enjoying them so much.  In truth, I really think Martina has made me into a silk snob, lol.  I never used silks before, and I notice that I am pretty slow on the stitching now when I have to revert back to DMC.  The silk just moves faster in my hand and fabric, lol.  Maybe it just makes me happier, hmmm.

I will update with pics this weekend.  I even did a few stitches on my HAED Hold on to Hope (I can carry this around much easier than my Chats on my lap stand).  Happy Stitching and have a great rest of the week.

My jaw dropped when I saw the price of the kit from ECC! I also saw on Facebook that ECC said it had most of the back ordered threads from Thread Gather in, so maybe it won't take so long to get the kit. I agree, the pattern does look kitchenney, and I look forward to seeing your progress!

LOL you are a total addict :D
As an alternative to DMC you could use HDF's silks, they have a conversion from DMC :D

"Provence" is truly a beauty. It is no wonder that you just had to have her to add to your collection!

I love this design. I have it nearly finished. If you look through some of my older posts, you'll come across lots of pics of it.
